NSlocal.com is an online directory of all key businesses in North Vancouver and West Vancouver, which people living, working and visiting here can use to find out about the local products and services available to them.
The Concept
NSlocal.com is a response to the increased trend for consumers to use the internet as a way of locating local products and services, and also to the specific needs of people living and working on, and visiting the North Shore.
The Objectives
Firstly, to provide local consumers with a focused online directory of local products and services to allow them to make easy and effective buying decisions. Secondly, to give the local businesses offering those products and services the chance to collectively market themselves to a rapidly growing online audience. Building the Site
NSlocal.com aims to provide the most comprehensive online business listings for the North Shore. To that end, nearly 3,000 local businesses were contacted personally to obtain their company details, including the key information about the products and/or services they offer. This information was used to categorise them as specifically as possible, with the aim of providing the best site-user experience possible.
It was made known to the businesses contacted that to be included on the website in this way is free, and that at no point would they be charged for this basic company listing.
Every effort was made to include each and every business, but some declined the opportunity to be listed on the site, and there may be others that have been missed. So, if you notice that a local business is not represented which you feel should be, please contact us so that we can contact the business directly. Furthermore, if you own a local business that provides products and/or services to the North Shore, and we have not included you, again please contact us and we will be happy to add you to the site.
